Dear District 10 Residents,
Now that the election is behind us,
we are continuing to work on public safety. My office has submitted
a City Council request for "safe exchange zones" to help
citizens safely broker e-commerce transactions with strangers.
These "safe exchange zones" could provide an extra sense
of security to both buyers and sellers. In addition, this may deter
senseless acts of violence that we have seen throughout the
nation.
I would like to remind everyone
that there is a runoff in the Mayoral race. Early voting begins
Monday, June 1st through Tuesday, June 9th. Early voting sites
will be held throughout the City, the closest sites for District 10
residents are at the following libraries: Julia Yates Semmes
(15060 Judson Rd.), Tobin at Oakwell (4134 Harry Wurzbach), and
Brookhollow (530 Heimer Rd.). Election Day will be Saturday, June 13th.
Thank you for all of your support.
As always, please don't hesitate to email or call the District 10
office if you have any questions or comments about any of these
issues.
Sincerely,
Councilman Mike Gallagher
District 10
