Retraction
We
regrettably omitted a word in describing the status of Officer Moreno
in our previous e-blast. The sentence should have read "Officer
Moreno did not survive his injuries...". Additionally, we
listed the suspect as being killed by SAPD, when in fact he took his
own life after being shot by SAPD. The news was rapidly updating the
events that occurred on that fateful afternoon at the time of the
newsletter creation. Our intent was to ensure the public was aware of
this tragedy and sent prayers and support to our officers and their
families. We take full responsibility for this mistake and commit to
preventing this type of error from occurring again.
