Working with VIA Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio is tapping into the rich technical network offered at NACTO (the National Association of City Transportation Officials) to rapidly build out 2-3 high-quality transit corridors. On December 11th, staff from both agencies walked routes around Main Plaza to collect photos and document challenges to walking and biking in the area. MPO staff will provide the City of New Braunfels with a report in early 2020 that captures input from the public and agency staff. Find out more. Perry December 13, 2019 Howdy Neighbors, I look forward to seeing you all at our Holiday Gathering on Monday, December 16 at Morgan's Wonderland from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We'll be joined by Gordon Hartman, Blue Santa, MacArthur High School's JROTC, CoolCat Caricatures and Magic and Mentalism by James Arthur. If you are able, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation and a dessert for our dessert potluck. The toys we collect will be distributed to children in our area by Blue Santa. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if we can be of any assistance to you.  - Clayton Upcoming Community Meetings District 10 Holiday Gathering December 16, 2019 - 6 PM at Morgan's Wonderland ‌ ‌ ‌ Community Spotlight | Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas Unfortunately, one in eight children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 25. For students, grades, emotional and physical health can suffer. Depression, anxiety and feelings of hopelessness can occur, leaving the family at a loss for how to cope.  In San Antonio for the past 22 years the Children’s Bereavement Center has provided age appropriate grief support programs and counseling at no charge to children, teens, young adults and their families. With a beautiful home-like Center, school-based programs, and camps for grieving children our community can help assure that no child will have to walk the painful journey of grief alone. Boards and Commissions Vacancies Disability Access Advisory Committee: The Disability Access Advisory Committee is comprised of 11 members for two-year terms of office. To work closely with the Disability Access Office as part of San Antonio’s efforts to provide accessible services and facilities for citizens with disabilities. Building Standards Board: The Building Standards Board is a citizen-based board and has 14 members appointed by City Council: two panels of seven members each. Appointed by the City Council with each City Council member appointing their own representative to the board. Members serve overlapping two-year terms and there is no limit on the number of terms that may be served. Each panel holds a hearing twice per month unless otherwise indicated. Meeting dates are the first and third Thursdays for Panel A, and the second and fourth Thursdays for Panel B. Meetings are held at the Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center, located at 1901 S. Alamo St., at 9:00 a.m. Please contact the liaison for more information. Barrington Sidewalks

Transportation & Capital Improvements, dated 22 November, sent a letter telling people living on Barrington, that sidewalks will be put in beginning next week, from Rockcroft to Kings Point, including driveway approaches.

Zoning Request made

There has been another Zoning Request made for the property between Serna Elementary School and the Motel, which was once a Nursery.  They want to make it into an Apartment Complex, which will possibly affect those who live on the South side of Bretton Ridge. 

The company will make a presentation at the January 19th Meeting, so come one, come all and let your voice be heard.
